Home Educated Children
Home Education Classes with Jesters Theatre Academy
At Jesters Theatre Academy, we believe home education is a fantastic opportunity to learn in creative, active and exciting ways. Our Home Education classes in Colchester and surrounding areas give children and young people the chance to learn new skills, make friends, build confidence and, most importantly, have fun!
We now offer four different Home Ed classes, so there’s something for every budding performer and active young person:
🎭 Home Ed Performing Arts
Our weekly Thursday 10:30am Performing Arts sessions in Newtown bring together acting, singing and dancing in one action-packed class. Students explore drama games, musical theatre, vocal work, choreography and performance while developing confidence, creativity and teamwork.
🎬 Home Ed Drama
For those who love acting, our fortnightly Tuesday Drama class gives students the chance to really get stuck into the world of performance. Through improvisation, character work, scripts, storytelling and drama games, students can explore their creativity and develop their acting skills in a fun and supportive environment.
🎤 Home Ed Exam Class
Want to build confidence while working towards a qualification? Our Acting & Public Speaking fortnightly Tuesday class combines performance skills with communication, presentation and public speaking. Students have the opportunity to work towards recognised acting and speaking qualifications, but the focus is always on developing confident, capable young people who can express themselves.
🤸 Home Ed ACRO
For energetic learners who would rather be upside down than sitting down, our Wednesday ACRO class is the perfect fit! Students work on strength, flexibility, balance, coordination, tumbling and acrobatic skills, building confidence and learning new tricks in a safe and encouraging environment.
Whether your child is a natural performer, loves being active, wants to build confidence or simply wants to try something completely different, our Home Ed classes are a brilliant way to learn, create, move and make friends outside the traditional classroom.
Come and be part of the Jesters family. Your next adventure starts here!
